A Story About Installment Payments

Credit card installment payments are very convenient. To be able to have something now and pay later (multiple payments) is always good, but this privilege needs to be handled with care or it will hurt you. We will use one of my recent transactions as an example.

This is my Montblanc Tribute to the Mont Blanc Series 149 Le Grand fountain pen. I bought it from the Montblanc store in the Rustan's Department Store in Makati City. It was a lifetime investment, since a Montlbanc fountain pen will last a lifetime (and because it was so expensive). Installment payments are designed to help us acquire things of this nature, especially when very expensive and intended to last for a long time.

The RCBC Bankard Classic Card: A Review

This was my second credit card. It was offered to me by a good friend from RCBC who helped me bypass the challenges of a then, tiny salary. It was also my first Visa. RCBC has JCB, Visa, and Mastercard available. What I liked most about this card are the very flexible rewards system and the Unli-Zero installment system.

The BDO ShopMore Mastercard: A Review

This was my first credit card and my only one for more than a year. It did what I needed though, and for that I am thankful. In fact, I am thankful for the crazy times I went on buying sprees and was awarded with SM Advantage points.
